TEACHING CONVERSATION SKILLS ONLINE

Teaching Conversation Skills Online is one of the primordial tasks of the BRIDGES&BLITZ Online Training & Tutorials. Teaching learners online could be difficult if an online teacher doesn't know the appropriate methods and approaches to teaching.

The BRIDGES&BLITZ methods and approaches to teaching include Visual Strategies. Through these strategies, we are able to motivate our learners to talk, and to use the English Language in explaining, discussing, arguing, and in many other conversation skills. Here are some tips on how to teach Conversation Skills through the use of Visual Strategies, http://sharepoint.leon.k12.fl.us/fdlrsaten/wakulla/Shared%20Documents/Six%20Tips%20for%20Teaching%20Converesation%20Skills%20with%20Visual%20Strategies.pdf.

Conversation with a student online becomes easier when we talk about things within the schema of the learner. Here, we apply the Schema Theory as developed by R. C. Anderson, and was first introduced by Piaget in 1926. This will help you understand more of what we call Schema Theory.... http://www.sil.org/lingualinks/literacy/implementaliteracyprogram/schematheoryoflearning.htm.

This Schema Theory is just similar to Core Knowledge Theories ... http://www.rci.rutgers.edu/~jhudson/coreknowledge.html. Without the basic knowledge, a learner will have difficult time understanding English, and will never learn how to use the English Language properly and fluently.

This photo shows that one of our students online is showing her visual to me while she's explaining what this is, and what joy she gets from it. Visual aids and concrete objects really facilitate online learning
